We are Nina and Sarah Jane. We started teaching yoga in Twickenham as ‘letsgoyoga’ in 2009. Our classes are based at several venues in Twickenham and we are happy to welcome men and women of all levels, ages and abilities. We provide gentle guidance and safe practice which can be tailored to meet all student abilities.
We teach Hatha yoga and incorporate the different styles we have experienced over the years: Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda, Viniyoga and Kundalini yoga.
Our aim is that you leave the session relaxed and invigorated and over time will gain awareness, flexibility and a sharpness of mind.
I started yoga as a teenager although decided to commit more time and energy to it in my 20’s. During my travels I was inspired by an Indian yoga teacher called Acharya who also introduced me to meditation. I found myself much more grounded and centred whilst I was practising and took it on from there! I qualified as a British Wheel of Yoga teacher 12 years ago. I aim to provide an up to date and informed approach, as well as a sense of humour through my practice and teaching of yoga!
I have been practising and teaching yoga for over 15 years and as time has progressed I have benefited from sharing the journey with some great students and teachers from all over the world! I started my own practice with the Ashtanga primary series and this encouraged me to study for a British Wheel of Yoga Foundation course and then to go on to complete a further 2 year teaching Diploma with the BWY. I attend regular workshops and teacher training to continue to develop my own personal practice & teaching styles. My style is a mixture of Hatha including more deeper asana and dynamic flow classes including Ashtanga, but I will always try to make sure it is an enjoyable experience and adapt the class to suit the needs of the students in front of me.
